Federal Polytechnic Auchi to become A University Soonest

The Bill seeking upgrade of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, to a university on Thursday passed second reading at the House of Representatives. The sponsor of the Bill, Rep. Johnson Oghuma (Edo-APC), said when passed, the Bill would reduce the number of prospective undergraduates in Nigeria. Oghuma said that the bill would achieve global standards where polytechnics were being converted to universities to bridge the gap and harmonize standards of tertiary education. “In developed nation’s like America and United Kingdom, most polytechnics have been converted to universities of technology and helped to upgrade education generally.” He added that the measure was also to achieve one of the set goals of government of upgrading education standards in science, engineering and technological training in the country. Another aim, according to him, will be to provide the much-needed space for post-graduate studies which no polytechnic provides. The lawmaker disclosed that as currently placed, Auchi Polytechnic had all it took in terms of manpower and facilities, to take off as a full-fledged university. He also said that youths from that catchment area would now have a place to go and study to meet their various lifetime aspirations previously denied them due to quota and catchment policy in the country. The bill was subsequently passed by members when it was put to a voice vote by the Speaker, Mr Yakubu Dogara. The bill was later referred to the Committee on Tertiary Education Services for further action.

[14/02/2017] - Peaceful but heavy protest by Auchi Poly Students - [See Details and Photos].

Peaceful but heavy protest by students of Auchi
Polytechnic Auchi has brought vehicular movement to an
abrupt stop at the ever busy Benin/Abuja express way, a
road linking the North and the south.
.
The students whose grievance was due to the continued
strike by the ASUP (Auchi poly chapter) due to an unpaid
arrears by the Federal govt, undue demotion, sack and
suspension of some lecturers alleged to be corrupt and
other factors which the lecturers are pushing on to be met
by Management and Federal govt of Nigeria.
.
Over two months now, academic activities in the school
has been epileptic and now, it has been grounded
totally following the strike action by lecturers of the
institution who are at loggerhead with the management
of the school and the Federal govt. over the sack of their
colleagues alleged to be corrupt, payment of arrears etc.
.
Trying to bring both the lecturers and the management
of the school to a round table discussion by the SUG
body proves abortive as the lecturers are more agitative
than ever. And the students who seems to be the most hit
by the tussles has now took to the Federal road carrying
out a peaceful protest with several inscriptions on their
placards, thereby sending signals to the appropriate
authorities to come to their aid as the tussles which
started since last year after the tenure of the previous
Rector has now be full blown, thereby frustrating
academic activities and stretching the academic calender
of the school.
The protest is peaceful, but the Federal road has been
blocked by the students thereby shutting movement for
about two hours now.

Last year's academic calender slided into this year due to
this same issue and many of the final year students are
still yet to be called for service due to late or no
registration for the NYSC scheme..........

Below is the Screening Requirements for Admission into the School of Evening Studies (SES), Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi. 

•  (1)   O'LEVEL RESULT, either WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB E.t.c

the Result must be Creditable, that is, Having the number of Required Grade in its Required Subject, And make sure your COURSE of STUDY tallies with ur Su bject Combination.

• (2)   Evidence of Payment of the Purchase of Admission Form, that is, The Teller you used to pay in the 14,700 OR the Teller you used to Purchase the Form in the Bank.

• (3) JAMB RESULT(Jamb result previously is not recommended for SES/SPAT Student, So for those not having dat Result, don't bother Urself, As WE shall Update you on the Latest issue arising.)

• (4) BIRTH CERTIFICATE, from either the Hospital you were given birth to, Local Government Area OR Any Recognised Governmental Parastatal incharge of such Activity.

• (5) LOCAL GOVERNMENT/STATEMENT OF ORIGIN, this is A certificate dat signifies the State/Local government Area you're from. The Original Statement of Origin can  gotten from UR Local Government Area Council.

✅All students should take note that a lot of security have been deployed to Auchi to ensure maximum security to all students so please take note................


✅Report came to us yesterday that timetable for spat academic session is now out and full academic session for spat will be tomorrow Monday 24th please take note................


✅Spat resumption was delayed due to some reason as its now been resolved and their second semester result will be released this week...............


✅Auchi poly matriculation   comes up this week friday April 28th as preparations is currently ongoing to ensure the occasion is colourful as the venue as usual still remain in sport complex also maximum security have been put in place..............


✅Please all students should take note that the matriculation ceremony is for both  newly admitted spat and regular students as all parents and guidance are welcome...................


✅All those union, church and association who are interested In putting a stand for advert during the matriculation at sport complex should locate the SUG director of social for proper arrangement..................


✅The rate of police harassment on students is now becoming unbearable as the SUG will hold a serious meeting this week to determine the action to take since the DPO have decided to ignore the plea of the SUG because soon this students will be given order to retaliate in full force............


✅Report got to us yesterday that one miss purity was poison by an unknown person as she survived after been rushed to the hospital, eyewitness says that she was cooking at the side of her room only for her to start eating and then collapsed before the doctor later confirmed that she was poisoned, please all students should be careful and also mindful of their roommates, neighbors and friends.................


✅Please all regular students should take note that payment of school fees ends tomorrow Monday as an additional 10,000 will be added from Tuesday................

5. To be handsome is one thing but not everything. E get where your beauty or handsomeness go carry you reach, grace go takeover. Miyonse lack that grace.

6. As you grow, there are some basic things you suppose to know even from your childhood.
Things like the name of our president, States and capital, national anthem, Lord's prayer, Psalm 121.
Even some pipo, you suppose to know dem if you see their picture or you see dem face to face. Important pipo like Prof Wole Soyinka, our president, Late Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Olusegun Obasanjo, etc. This one shows your identity as a Nigerian no matter where you dey. Even our moslem brothers know the Lord's prayer. So learn cos na small shit dey stain yansh.

7. The street nai get any society. Street take over. Anyone wey like to blow, and gain positive recognition, must identify with the street.
Forget the first class pipo, dem nor get mouth. If the street say this na wetin e want, e go come to pass. Bisola and Efe dey the street and dem rep the street.

8. In every family, the fortune and fame of that family lies in the hands of one child. If that child nor pick, that family go remain poor. Check am, Efe family don upgrade.

9. Who God don put crown for e head, everyone must surely respect am. The moment Efe enter the house, everybody just fall in love with am. That na grace.

✅Also Mr wasap and the SUG excos Want special wish all regular students a successful examination as the exam begins on Tuesday may 30th in all department................

✅To this effect all Spat lectures will now be truncated a little as they might not be venue until about 5pm daily so all class rep should take note and sort out space to enable them take lectures cos spat exam still begins July 17th..............

✅All regular students whom has not yet paid their school fees should please take note that they will still write the exam either in ungroup or in a group............

✅Report came to us yesterday that some department are selling the examination temporary I'd card which the school management ask all department to produce for free, please take note that those I'd card are free and if need be it should only attract #100 or less. All students should take note..............

✅Please take note that payment of school fees has been put on hold due to the SUG protest of the 15,000 additional fee, so until a resolution is reach between management and the SUG on a more affordable price no one should pay, also there might be a refund of probably half or less, please take note...........

✅The students staying at the back of Jay $Jay lodge in campus 2 area have been expressing their anger due to the lack of electricity supply from a broken electric pole which has been abandoned for 3 weeks now, please take note that the SUG will now move swiftly on this issue to ensure that the pole is fix on or before Wednesday this week..............

✅Report got to us that a students staying at the back of cooperate worship was caught stealing a bread, mineral and bag of pure water out of hunger and the student laptop was sized and ask to pay 20k to take is laptop back before Monday or he will be arrested, please take note that if you are the one who took this young boys laptop do well to return it back before the end of today because the SUG are now in this issue, Warning.................

✅All regular students should take note that the acting rector has impose a law that ones a students is found misbehaving in the examination hall he or she will be booked for malpractice, some of these laws are,

going out to pee severally.
Discussing with anyone.
Using neighbors material.
Bringing of baby to exam hall.
Changing of sit position and using of any illegal  material for malpractice...

Please try to avoid all this in other not to be booked as the SUG will not be liable for any students booked for GROSS examination misconduct..........

🆘All regular students should be careful this exam period not to be a victim of police harassment therefore missing his or her exam paper in the process..............

🆘For any emergency case during this exam period please do well to call the SUG director of welfare Mr WASAP on 08149080410..............

🆘Please all students should take note that due to the up coming regular students examination the supply or electricity will now increase except there is a major breakdown, as for students staying in the hostel ones there is no BEDC light the hostel generator will now be on from 7pm to 2am while from 4am to 6:30am daily until the exam is concluded June 23rd, the SUG are here to serve you better, Mr WASAP cares........

*** Mr Wasap want to sincerely apologize for not bringing you the usual news last week as it was due to the convention I traveled to in yola ones again we apologize and hope to serve you more.............

***  The entire SUG excos want to specially wish spat students a stress free semester as they resume fully tomorrow................

***  All spat students should take note that its going to be a less than 2 months semester in other to meet up and graduate quickly this year as spat first semester exam is set to commence 17th of July so please all spat students are therefore advised to be serious with their studies...............

*** Spat Late registration/ payment of school fees for both new and old students ends June 30th so take advantage of the time and pay up your fee before its late...............

*** Please all spat students should take note that there are now new lecturers that have been allocated to various department so take note that class attendance is now mandatory by the new rector as a new law that if you don't attend 70% lectures there will be no exam for that students or probably advised to withdraw from the school so take note that attendance is mandatory for more info on it ask your (PC) program co-ordinator..........

***  Information got to us that management now frown on the use of bathroom slippers  which some persons now called rubber perm slippers as its will soon attract sanction soonest especially on the evening students as they are the more users of it.............

***  Please all regular students should take note that the students Union Government are not in support of the 15,000 additional fee by the school management as all effort to meet with the school rector to plead on it reduction to @ least 5000 has prove abortive as we ask all students to be patient and continue their studies while we keep doing our best as your representative as that's the reason we where voted for by you...............

***  Still on the regular students additional school fees of 15,000 which the school management tends it to be a punishment fee for late payment, some students have been voicing their anger on the school management and they are  also saying that no one can stop them from writing their exam especially the ND2 and HND2 students, we are still appealing to all students to remain calm as the school management will do their best to maintain peace in the institution as we say no to lawless violence................

***   Please all regular students should take note that the exam grouping for this year first semester exam is said to be maximum 40 or less students to a large class hall while 20 or less to a low class hall. This is a new strategy by the school academic board to reduce malpractice and also examination misconduct to its nearest minimum so take note and read harder because its going to be OYO.................

*** All regular students whom have not collected text books from their class rep should do so this week as any class rep who refuses to give each students their complete text books before Friday May 26th will be penalised ones a students report is received...............

***  The SUG director of welfare aka Mr wasap want to apologize to all students both off care and in the hostel for the lack of constant electricity supply this few weeks as it was due to a major breakdown by the transmitting power at irrua, please take note that expert are still currently on it to make sure there is at least 12 hour light off care and 20 hours light in the hostel daily during this examination period................

****  Due to the fort coming regular students first semester exam we have received report that the rate of sick students have now increase perhaps due to lack of food stuff and consistent ready day and night without food, please if you see any sick casualty do well to call on the director of welfare aka Mr wasap for urgent response. 08149080410.............

***  We have just received report this morning that the school portal for regular students school fees have been shut down as promised by the management, please all students who have not register should not panic yet as the SUG shall meet with the rector this week on this issue..................

*** Please all students should be careful this period as the rate of rubbery have now increase as from 8pm to 12am, we receive report last night that almost a whole street were by rubbered without any police attention. So since the Nigerian police now concentrate on only cyber criminals we should all be the police of our self's,life and property. *** Management has said that there wont be any extension to the date, for students who did not pay their school fees today..

According to our informat, some BEDC staffs sharing electricity bill were beaten yesterday...

*** A report also came to me that a student phone was stolen this morning at mechanic sight....

I was born in June 12th Delta state
Lived at udu road kolokolo
Attended mousco/flock of Christ/ uncle Pat. All these schools are jxt for my primary education because my parents could not pay school fees, so I was always driven from school.
Further went to army day secondary school (effurun), Delta state.
I will always hawk in the morning before I go to school every day. I never meet assembly or first period in my secondary school days. life was so tough. I don't buy textbooks nor attended extra moral lesson because my parents could not afford it. I struggled hard with my parents to sell....Mango,banana,akara,pear,akpu(fufu), name it all kind of things (jack of all trades), jxt to make sure me and my younger one go to school and feed without begging. My family was very poor but we where happy and love each others. After secondary school. No money and sponsor to further my education. So I started working as a security guard for sizlers fast food udu road. Learnt tailoring and catering jobs To survive. I work day and night for three years to save for my education but yet i couldn't because my younger ones need to Finnish secondary school.
After three years With courage and risk I bought Auchipolytechnic form and got the admission but I had only 5thousand naira on me and I was advised by my friends, uncles, church members, that I should not go because I will suffer and nobody will assist me....Except for only my mum who will always tell me with tears that God is not Dead......I was a Christian but neva felt that God was on my side
Until I ment this God
He took me up, adopted me, and sponsor me
Gave me a comedy career which am using to survive today, and took me to more than 25states, meet state government officials of different levels...This God paid all my bills....And today I am by his grace the most famous/outstanding/cooperate Comedian in Auchipolytechnic  with several awards to my desk......I live in one of the most expensive lodge, comfortable apartment with everything inside, and a final year student HND program.......I think this love is too BIG... Even doe am not where want to be, I am not where I used to be...... Please if you don't know this God try to meet with him....His name is yawah, Almighty God........... Please help me thank him......

*** Happy Sunday to all students of Auchi poly...

*** After visiting the deputy dean of spat office on Friday it was gathered that timetable for spat is ready and also their result is ready and its expected to be release before the weekend so let's keep our fingers cross.............

***   Report came to us on Wednesday that the school management has added the 15,000 additional fee for all late payment please all students whom is still yet to pay their school fees should take note that the SUG are doing everything within their power to plead with the school management to reduce the 15,000 to a more reasonable and convenience amount in other for all students to be able to pay....................

*** Report also came to us that a student staying in Tozi lodge block A room 8 at the back of God is good pack killed a big cat inside his room we thank God for his life...........

*** In same development a students staying in Aso rock villa found 3 big cobra snake in his room last night as they were unable to kill it before it escaped into the sock away pit, please all students should be vigilant of crawling animals this raining period...............

*** Also just yesterday night the SUG assistant secretary general was bitten by a scorpion inside her room as she was rushed to the hospital and we thank God for her life.........

*** Please all students should take note that there is now an ATM in campus 1 back gate through the initiative of the SUG in other for all students to get quick access to cash anytime needed, we the SUG hope to serve you more better.................

*** The regular students examination still commence this May 30th as all department will start same day and end June 23rd please take note.................

*** Due to the continuous heavy down pure of rain this period the electricity transmission KVA from irrua will not function effectively after every rain fall except after every 48 hours as ones enough solar energy is accumulated the KVA will be able to power up again but for now all students should please be patient as Mr Wasap is following up with the district management................

*** Report got to us last night that a sand tipper almost run into some students on the bike at the side of campus one gate but thank God they escaped and the tipper hits another vehicle beyond repair................

*** Please students should take note that the SUG have confronted the police area command as a result of this the harassment on students will now be reduced to its minimum, we promise to fight for the right of all students...............

** Mr wasap is saying Happy new month to all students of Auchi poly and i pray that this month will bring joy and prosperity to our life amen............

** We want to specially apologise for not bringing you our usual Sunday news it was due to an improper findings and fact, we ones more apologize...............

✅Also happy matriculation in arias to all new intakes of AUCHI POLY as we which you a stress free stay in Auchi polytechnic................


✅All matriculated students whom has not submitted their matriculation gown should do so tomorrow by taking them to the students affairs division in campus 1 or pay an addition fee please take note...............


✅For the very first time the Auchi poly matriculation ceremony was peaceful as parents and students enjoyed the event due to maximum security provided by management in conjunction with the SUG................


✅Good news to all students, the SUG have started a project in revitalizing the dele giwa Secretariat to a modern structure and also expand the back of engineering gate to ease movement of students, we hope to do more within this short period, so expect more project soonest or if anyone have an ideal project tell us your opinion as we shall look into it in our next meeting.................


✅We revived report last night that 3 male students were taken to the bush at the back of campus 2 by police officers and we beaten up with wood and cutlass in forcing them to admit that they are cyber criminals..........,....


✅Also same police group with white hilux was forcing a girl to give one of them her number in the process slapped and beat her up before she finally gave him her number at the side of farnet filling station..............


✅It may amaze you to know that now we don't here about rubbers anymore and what we here is police rubber, collecting students phone, laptops even now forcing female students to sleep with them which connote to sexual harassment, so who is now the criminal?.................


✅All students should take note that due to this improper harassment by police officers on our students, the SUG will be meeting the DPO tomorrow for the last time to caution his officers especially the ones on white Hilux before a fast and drastic action will be taken on any police officers found perpetrating this act, so we plead with all students to give us this week to deal with this issue...............


✅The SUG director of social Mc Kpolopkolo want to thank and appreciate all students who came for the fresher's party and pray God takes them to the highest level................

All students are advice to deceased from night movement in other to limit police harassment also all male students should also dress decent especially the type of hair they keep, you must keep rough hair in other to be a yahoo boy if I must ask how much have you make from it, when all other decent dressed Yahoo guys on flashy cars With millions in their account are on low cut hair, if you are well dressed and composed in nature no police officer can harass you, please male students dressed the way you will be addressed,

⬇Also female students should dress decent at all time because your body is your pride, don't sell it for iphone  and cheap money, don't let guys count you among numbers of bitch in school, be yourself watch over yourself and select wisely before your enter any relationship.......

💞That's the advice from Mr Wasap today to whom it may concern, I also want to thank all students for the wonderful love have been receiving anywhere I go, I promise to keep my level up and keep my shoulders down no matter what, I love you all and we miss all of you when I graduate come September................

*** After the meeting of the SUG and management regarding the closing of school fees portal, the management have decided to here our plea and extend the school fees payment till May 3rd 2017............

*** All students should use this avenue to pay up their school fees on or before 3rd of may to avoid paying an additional 15,000. Please take note..............

*** All students should take note that the SUG/Mc Kpolopkolo fresher's party comes up tomorrow Thursday by 4pm at specto gee garden get your gate fee now while its still available, Mr Wasap promise to be there live.................

*** Please all class rep should take note not to fix any class or text on friday which is the school matriculation ceremony ones a lecturer insist please report to your head of department as that day is a lecture free day...............
